Sansho Showdown

Together with our friends at Kompaan, we brewed a beautifully dry and refreshing Saison at 6.9% ABV. What makes this Saison truly special is the addition of Sansho pepper and lemon verbena. Sansho pepper is similar to Sichuan pepper in the way it creates a subtle tingling sensation on the tongue, but its aroma is far more intensely citrus-forward. Combined with a tea brewed from lemon verbena, these bright citrus notes perfectly complement the dry, spicy character of the Saison, resulting in a crisp and remarkably refreshing beer.
