Candric LaMer

Candric is a Legionnaire barrel-aged in gin, but not from England—this one hails from France, which sets it apart from what you might be used to. French gins tend to be less dry, sweeter, and more coriander-forward than juniper-heavy. You can definitely taste that in this beer. It’s a rare find, as the spiciness of gin can sometimes be challenging to blend with beer, but not in this case: it’s herbal, slightly spicy, with hints of vanilla and sweet licorice. Ooh la la!
